EMPIRE'S STRENGTH
FINANCE AND SHIPPING (Per Press Association) Auckland, March 1 “Three Roots of Empire” was the subject of an address given by the Hon. Alexander Shaw, at a luncheon given in his honour today by the Auckland ('handier of Commerce. The three roots of Empire. Mr. Shaw said, were sound finance. a prosperous British shipping industry and an “aristocracy of character.”
