Little Change in Sheep BEEF CATTLE CHEAPER (Per Press Association) Christchurch, Feb. 28 There was a, good demand for fat lambs at Addington today. Keen competition from exporttrs kept prices steady. A yarding of 3600 of better quality light-weights made to 8d a lb. Extra prime heavy lambs sold to 30/1; prime heavy, 23/6 to 26/ : prime medium weight, 20/6 to 23/- ; light, 17/6 to 20/-. Stone. Ewes.—Uhl ewes were cheaper and others were not so keenly bought. Good two-tooth Romney ewes sold to 29/9; ordinary. to 22/- : good two tooth lialfhred, 32/- to 33/6: medium, to 29/-: ordinary, 23/- to 26/; backward, 18/- to 22/-: ordinary 4 and 6 tooth liali'bred, 22/6 to 27/-; plain, 16/- to 21/-; plain crossbred, 18/- to 20/6; good s. half bred, 21/6 to 24/-; medium, 17/- to 20/-; good s.m. crossbred, to 22/-; plain, 14/6 to 16/6; sound and failing mouth, 10/6 to 14/-; forward young wethers, 20/- to 22/6; others, 14/3 t. 19/- : merino 12/7 to 14/6. Store Lambs—Good ewe lambs made 18/7 to 10/8; medium, 17/- to 18/6; ordinary 15/- to 16/6: ordinary store 12/6 to 14/6; cull 10/- to 12/-. Fat Sheep.—Extra prime heavy wethers sold to 17/7; prime heavy, 24/- to 26/-; prime medium weight, 22/- to 23/6: ordinary 19/- to 21/6; light. 17/to 18/6 ; extra, prime heavy ewes to 25/-; prime heavy, 21/6 to 23/6; prime medium weight 17/6 to 21/-; ordinary 15/6 to .17/-; lght. 12/6 to 15/-.
