Cable) Washington, February 28 General Johnson, Administrator of the National Recovery Act, addressing a public meeting for the purpose of constructive criticism, today reviewed the National Recovery Administration’s accomplishments and projected a twelve-point programme to widen tli e . scope of codes. The principal features are:— A further reduction in working hours. An increase in hourly wages. A more uniform and equitable rule of price stabilisation to prevent cutthroat competition, with further insurance against prices outstripping purchasing power. A more effective rule to prevent sales below cost of production. Uniformity of wages and hours in competitive industries. Protection against monopoly.
A wider use of mechanism for settling labour disputes. Adequate labour and consumer re presentation in an advisory capacity on code authorities.
