ESTIMATES. FOR 1934-35 REDUCTION IN RATES (Aust and N.Z. Cable) Rugby, February 27 Estimates for the coming year were presented; at a London County Council meeting today. London’s budget anticipates an expenditure during the coming financial year of over £*29,500,000, a reduction of £500,000 on last year’s figures. About £1,000,000 is allotted to housing, mainly slum clearance and improvements. There is a reduction of 2d in the rates of in the pound.
