This bold contains 7000 cases of English apples and the conditions will be exactly akin to a voyage from Australia and New Zealand. Australian fruit boxes are being use 1 because of the absence of bulge, which is thought to be a factor affecting- the distribution of air. The model hold will be kept at an even temperature and the thermometer will automatically register externally the heat generated bv the fruit poisoning air with carbon dioxide, including the development of mould/3, and Bacteria.

Tt is hoped from this experiment that the best corrective methods will he discovered.
