ROAD CYCLING
A PROTEST UPHELD CHAMPIONSHIP TO WATSON (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, October 4. The protest- of H. G. Watson against the alleged boring-in of W . J. lAmberton near the fiiu h of tio Wainiate-t o-Cli ri si church road race on Saturday, was upheld by the North Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Athletic and Cycling T'nion to-night. Watson was awarded the fastest time and the 14-> mill's Australasian tread championship, while Lamberton was awarded second fastest time.
