WAITUNA BALL

HELD LAST NTH ITT A GREAT SUCCESS The annual hall of the Waitunn Hockey Club held in the local hall last nighr. was one of the outstanding social events of the season. The flrov was packed to capacity, visitors from all the surrounding districts being present in full force. The hall was tastefully decorated with green, gold and orange streamers. In the centre the streamers were interlaced to, form a square with a light at the four corners and streamers radiated

out to the corners of the hall. Creenor.v and balloons adorne.l the walls and stage and the whole effect, which was very pleasing to look at, was a pretty setting for the throng of dancers and a great credit to the hocket girls. Brain well’s orchestra supplied first-class music and extras were played by Miss Lucaft, Messrs. Dariagh and Pearce quartette. Mr. Bergerson and Mr. D. Durie. In the supper room the tables were decorated in mauve and gold with huge bowls of spring flowers and greenery on the walls. The usual Waituna sumptuous, supper was served. The Waituna girls are to be congratulated on the success of the dance and it should prove as great a success financially as it was socially.
