PERSONA!. FRIEND OF KING tAnst »nd 7*.a. Cablet ltugby, Sept 29. The death occurred to-day of the Duke of Roxburgh, aged stl. who suddenly became ill when attending a friend's funeral yesterday. The Duke, who was the head of an old Scottish family, had served with distinction in the Boer War and the Great War, in both of . which he was wounded. He was a i>ersonal friend of the King and Queen.. He is succeeded in the title by his 19-year-old son, the Marquis of Mowntoni.
