Tho R.S.A. conference carried the following remit: "That in v -k'W of the acute want in. a land of plenty and the «rideru dissatisfaction with tho existing monetary and credit system as revealed at this Dominion Council meeting of delegates, the X.Z. It.S.A. nrga s the setting up of a tribunal, to- be presided 1 over by a Supreme Court Judge, to hold a full, open and immediate, inquiry into the operations of the Now Zealand monetary and credit, system »nd possible alternatives thereto, with view to meeting the legitimat • requirements of trade, commerce, and industry and to provide a maximum Stimulus in the effort to meet our overseas obligations. ’ Some of the speakers wished to di-lay the matter till after the Ottawa Conference had lieen held, but an amendment to this effect was defeated.
