For .some time the health of Air E. F. Hcaly, AI.P. for YYairau, has not been, satisfactoi’.* On medical advice, lie has now decided to take a .sea trip to Vancouver. Rev. G. Frost, late of Fcilding disirict, now has St. John's Metho dist Church, Ponsonb> . Auckland. The. anniversary of the opening of this church 50 years ago was c.oje brated last Sunday. The degree of Doctor of Phi Ipso phy lias been conferred by Columbia University, New York, on Air \Y. B. Sutch, a„ graduate of V ictoria College, Wellington, who left New Zealand la.st August after lie was offered a fellowship in Columbia University. Air Sutch- was the youngest man in New Zealand to hold the degrees of AI.A. and B.Com.
