In the Supreme Court the Chief Justice acquitted William Hyslop on two charges involving alleged false pretences. it, was alleged by the Crown that Mr Hi slop, who is ti’.o managing director of the Tourist Motor Coi'diad knowingly made false declarations to an 'insurance company. Th. c Jury were absent for almost ■four hours. The trial lasted threo days. .
