Since tlie reported purchase of a. large number of stud Corriedale slieeu bv Japanese buyers, the question hag been raised as to whether the Dominion should encourage tlio export of stud sheep. Replying to a question to-day. Premier Forbes said lie had received no complaints from sheep breeders’ associations . New- Zealand had always welcomed trade hi stud sheep and largo exportations had been made at different times. Sllccp raising in Japan did not appear to be carried ont on an extensive scale.
