HE SERVED IN THE WARS (Per Pcesß Association). Nelson, February 13. Obituary.—General Ernest Townsbend Walla,eh, 75. Deceased had been living in retirement in Nelson for some years. Ho served in South. Africa on Lord Methuen’s sta.fl and later had a. distinguished period of military service with the Australian forces. He leaves a widow and two daughter*.
