RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED AVlien the judges commence their cnerou s duties at tho Dannevirko A. and 1’- Association Show next Tuesday morning they will be faced, with a formidable task, as record entries havo been received in many classes and a record aggregate is confidently anticipated. In tho competitions, horse classes and ring events. all are well filled and tile 51 now horse btalls will all be in occupation. In cattle, Jerseys as usual will be an attractive feature, while support of the Friesian and milking Shorthorn classes has been decidedly encouraging. several exhibitors .from a distance having intimated their intention of being represented. Tho entry in sheep is a surprise, considering the dry season, and additional pcn s will have to lie provided, l’igs will bo a feature of the show, entries exceeding the previous .best <4f 88 in 924 by 28; The dairy produce i-ection lias again attracted strong competition, thoro being 62 entries ail the various classes and factories Sis far south as Golden Bay will be represented. Tlie Dannevirko Jvcunel Club’s show should also be worth while, as about 15Q canine exhibits will be benched, including the best in tlie land. Those at a distance *vlio intend - visiting this; outstanding show should note the special train, arrangements from both north and soutih, particulars of which are obtainaldo at railway stations. Tickets at special excursion fares ar° available oei the railways.
