Lindsay and Stokes swam together for a. thousand yards, when Stokes retired, and Lindsay finished Ultimo in 22mi». -59 2-ssec., or 37 2-3 sec. under his previous New Zealand record. In the 00 yards ladies’ championship of Canterbury, ghona Campbell won in 32sec., breaking tlio existing reojrd by 1-osee.
