ALTERS IJS PLANS LEAVES TO-DAY FOR ENGLAND (Per Press Association). Wellington, April S). Mr. C. G. Porter’s plans regarding his trip abroad were altered alter his arrival in Auckland. It was the ex-All Brack captain’s inten'iou to proceed to Canada by tlie Aorangi, but he decided after making certain inquiries regarding the business upon which lit; is proceeding overseas that it would be more advantageous to go to England before visiting Canada. He cancelled his passage by the Aorangi from Auckland and 1 looked by tlie Tainui which will leave Welling! op to-morrow looming for England. Mr. Porter informed a Post reporter to-day that lie had no intention of again playing football, although naturally lie would be a keen ■supporter of tlie game. In the meantime, however, lie was turning his intention strictly to business matters, and it was solely on this, account that li e was making the trip abroad. He proposed to spend some time in England and then visit Canada.
