THE HUTT RIVER
LEVEL STILL HIGH MUCH SURFACE WATER (Par Ptess Assxxiatioii). Wellington. April 8. The Hutt river lias remained about two feet above normal since Friday’s flood, and the heavy rain lust night, while not affecting the river much, will tend to keep the level high. A good deal of surface water, however, is lying around the low places, as a result of last night’s downpour.
