NF.W ZEALAND PRODUCE DISPLAY AT BIRMINGHAM New Zealand’s occupancy of ibe Empire .Marketing Board’s shop at Birmingham, which was carried out under the direction of the Hic?'t Conti ssioner, proved a great success so far as publicity lor the Dominion produce is concerned. New Zealand occupied tile shop fib* a fortnight, following on Great Britain. The displays in the windows and in the interior shop were carried out bv tlic High Commissioner’s publicity and exhibition section, in conjunction wth the New Zealand Produce Boards. Some of the windows devoted, also, to showing tourist a.nd sporting attractions of the Dominion. In the fortnight the following samples were sold by the staffs of the produce boards concerned: 12,124 butter samples at 2d, value £lOl 0s 2d; 15,047 cheese samples at Id, value 102 13s lid; 4312 honey samples at fjci,~ value £lO7 15s; total 31,438 samples of a value of £271 9s Id. This means that through, this enterprise New Zealand products were introduced in the period named int i over 30,000 homes, and their quality tested. In addition, a. large number of inquirers were directed where they could purchase New Zealand tinned tongues, toheroas, dried milk, and other goods.
