Serious injury was suffered by two riders of a motor cycle which came into collision with a mo 'or car driven by f'anon Perciv.al James. .Vicar- of St. Paul’s, on the Unit, roatl this afternoon. Those injured were Miss Irene Higgins.' HlO Tasman street, a reader in the Government Printing Office, severe fracture of the base of the skull ami abrasions, and John R. Buckley. 100 Tinakori road, railway ■/ireman, serious head inu\ ies and fracture of the right foot. The motor cycle which was driven by Buckley was coming towards the city from the Hull ami the motor ear was going ITom Wellington. The veludes were at Kaiwarra when the accident occurred. Both Buckley and Miss Higgins were unconscious when picked up. Canon James, driver of the car. was unhurt. The two injured were removed to the hospital by the free ambulance and late tonight neither had regained consciousness.
