LITTLE DISORDER TV AMERICA <Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Now York. -May 1. With the exception of Oakland, California, where four parading Communists were seriously injured by a. polife charge, the May Day demon, strations in the various cities of the United States generally were with on it incident. Boston reports that many children were in the parade there, which was without disorder. The Philadelphia Town Hall was guarded by police, while: Communists held a demonstration nearby. Two Communists wore seized at Schenectady while, banding cut Red literature. A few arrests were made at Newark, New Jersey. Sporadic fights resulting from Communist demonstrations in various parts of New York City resulted in fifty arrests. None of tlie disturbances was of considers Hie .proper c ions. PRECAUTIONS IN JAPAN Tokio, May 1. As a precautionary measure, 200 trouble-makers wore .gaoled overnight in Tokio. Labour Day passed without serious disturbance. The processions were escorted by 5000 police, who enforced order. A thousand women participated.
