In. tlie first round of the county cricket contests Jack Hobbs made a century in both innings, Glamorgan. 474 (Bates 108, Hills 100) .and 205. Surrey 333 (Hobbs 137) and Yvvo lor 190 (Hobbs ill not out). Glamorgan won on the first innings. Middlesex, 196 (Lee 85) and five for 349, declared (Leo 05, Hondren 101 not out). Leicester 280 and five, for 127. Leicester won on the first innings.
