In some casts wheat jiot quite up to standard is being sold at Id t° 2d a bushel less than the prices quoted above. The market for fowl wheat keeps firm. To-day’s value is 5s lOd f.o.b. S.I. equal to 5s 5d or 5s 6d on trucks. Tlio oats market is in a peculiar position. A very small quantity has neon offered t lj js year, either in Tiniaru or Christchurch. The ley [o the position is held in Southland, where 'there have been good oat crops and fair quantities .are available.
