The congregation of the First Presbyterian Church, Dunedin, unanimously decided to extend a call (o the Rev. W. Allan Stevely, of least St. Kilda, Melbourne, who recently supplied Ihe pulpit for a month. The Rev. Dr. j. T. Pinfold, secretary of the Wellington Ministers’ Association, leaves by the Rangitiki for a. visit to F.ngland, Ireland and the While in London he h opes to publish a book recording his experience during 50 years in New Zealand. Mr G. W. Clinkard, the newly appointed permanent head of the combined Publicity, Tourist and industries and Commerce Department, has returned by ihe Tofua from Samoa, where he has been secretary to the Administration. On the completion of 40 years’ service as a member of the Grafton School Committee, Mr John Burton was honoured at the annual meeting of householders of the Grafton school district in Auckland with a rramed address.
