SCENE AT AN EXECUTION
AtURDERER OF CHILTfREN GUILLOTINED (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Paris, Alareh ao. Cries of “Death to him” were raised outside the prison at Douai when the man who murdered two children was guillotined. As the gate was opened to show the prisoner standing pinioned on the platform beside the executioner and his assistants, two women rushed forward shouting imprecations. They were the mothers of the victims.
