POLO TOURNEY

ACCOMMODATING THE PONIES

Each year the polo tourney is held fn Feilding, the accommodation of the many ponies requires a. great amount of work. In selecting the central ground for the playing of the game in Feilding the Polo Association showed wisdom, tor it has within easy reach, thanks to the Feilding Jockey Club and the Feilding A. and P. Association, ideal paddocking and stabling.

Each pony requires a little run off or exercise yard as well as its stall and a great deal of work is involved in mapping out the requirements of the visiting teams. With 11 teams taking part this year there will be approximately 190 ponies in Feilding. The feeding of these ponies for tbe weejv or so they will remain in Feilding is quite a task. The tourney is undoubtedly a good Investment for Feilding for it attracts a large influx of visitors. The tourney will commence next Wednesday morning. It is hoped to lie able to play the Savile Cup finals on the Friday afternoon. Thu polo sports and pony races will be held Gin the Saturday afternoon.
