CLEARING NOXIOUS WEEDS
MANUKAU COUNTY CASES Nineteen owners of property in tlie Manukuu County were proceeded 'against in the Otaliuhu Police Court for failing to clear tlieir frontages of noxious weeds. Tlie noxious weeds inspector exp'ained tWat notices were served in August, September and October last to property-owners to clear their frontages of gorse and blackberry, but the trouble still continued,. Since the issue of summonses great activity in clearing frontages had been noticeable. Ono -ratepayer was fined £l. nine were fined 10s cacti, and the remainder were ordered to pay costs.
