INSPECTION BY MINISTER

Though there is nothing ‘to warrant the definite suggestion that the Orepuki shale works, now idle, will be re-started, it is significant of renewed interest in thi s industry that the Hon. IV. A. Veitch (Minister of Mines) leaves Wellington tot-night for the special purpose of inspect - ing the Orepuki deposit and the general conditions unde)- which it was formerly operated.
