The Daily Mail says preparations for an early General Election are well advanced at thv : latbour Party’s offices, where orders have been given fur 30 million envelopes. Plans are being made to fight against fowl taxes, on which leaflets are lining prepared. It is belioved that Premier MacDonald intends the election to take place early in the summer, after the Budget debate. The period available for an election is limited hy the holding; of the Imperial and Indian Conferences in the autumn. The Liberals would prefer t.o await the report of the Speaker’s Conference on electoral reform, but the majority of the members of fhe House «>f Commons are of the opinion that the'Vlash Will come earlier..
