OFFERED BY BALLOT UNIMPROVED CROWN LAND SETTLEMENT SCHEME 'Per Press Association). Nelson, March 17. In an interview with a Ma.l reporter to-day, Hon. G. Forbes, Minister of Lands, stated that in pursuance of the Government's policy of c.oser settlement his department had at present forty-five sections of improved land which, would he deposed of by ballot in the near future. These included the Wilden settlement, near Edievale, Southland, comprising eleven sections of grazing and mixed farming land which would be opened an the 31st inst. There was also the Roseberry settlement, Oamaru, comprising nine sections of dairying and agricultural land whijih would be opened on the 7 fit proximo.
