WEATHER FORECASTING
TO INORESAE ACCURACY (Per Press Association*, Wellington, .Tail. 25. Cabinet has approved of the erection of accommodation for the meteorological office adjacent to the present Dominion Astronomical Observatory at Kelburn. The placing of this office alongside the observatory will, it is considered, permit, of better observation of the weather and should increase the accuracy of forecasting. In particular, it, will he possible fo make tests by balloon to ascertain flic upper air winds at any time when special aviation reports are required In addition the chang© is expected to result. in more economical administration.
