DEATH CHEATED ONCE
BUT NOT THE SECOND TIME f MINER. KILLED AFTER, RESCUE (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) ‘London, Dec. 4. There was a poignant tragedy at the viewpoint colliery, in Lanarkshire, when two mineys were buried by a fall of one hundred tons from the roof. Rescuers were encouraged by hearing a faint voice and ''cached the spot and saved one who was injured. The other was in the anus of a, rescuer and was being given a drink of water, when lie saw another fall coming. He said: “Goodbye boys!” and was struck on the bend and killed. The body was again, buried.
