ACROSS CANADA IN 4-1 DAYS

Across the Continent in four and a. half days by automobile is the record of two Vancouver men, J. Duncan and his son J. D. Duncan. They drove nigh ti and day and averaged 40 miles nn hour running speed in the 3300 miles from Toronto- to Vatictouvefr., They Took the wheel In alternate shifts of two to four hours. One slept while the other drove.

The two left Toronto fit 0 a.m. on a Tuesday and reached Vancouvnt 3 p.m. the following Saturday. Their average speed, including stops, was 32 miles an hour. The stops were only for fuel and food, except for one three-hour delay.

Their route wa s by way of the Lincoln Highway, through Chicago and other large United States cities. They left United States, territory at Yakima, Washington. ,
