TO-DAY'S STOCK SALE
HEAVY YARDING ALL ROUND DAIRY CATTLE IN DEMAND Though there were large yardings of dairy c-ows and heifers at the stock- sale to-day, prices were firm and good stock sold at rates in favour of vendors. Up to 1.30 p.m. only heifers had been offered. The best lines sold at prices ranging from £l3 2* fid to £1.4 10s, ffood from £S os to £l2 ss, inferior £4 5s to £7 17s (id. A large yarding of fat sheep was probably the reason why some lines were passed in. Pens Isold brought, about; last week’s level of prices. Prime woolly hoggets sold at from 25s (Id to 31s .fid, b.f. prime to 355, good to 27s 7d, medium from 21 s 4d to • 27s 4d. Th e best fat ewes sold readily at prices ranging from 34s to 365, good 30s fid to 33s fid. medium 22 s to 255. ewes went up to 33s fid to 34s (Id. Fat wethers ranged from 80s fid to 35s fid. Fat cattle wore yarded in larger inibers than last week, when the prices wer exceptionally high. To-day Khorlhorn heifers sold up to £l4 14s, equal to about. 40s per lOOlhs. P.A. heifers £lO 10s. Hereford bullocks, heavy weights £l7 2s Gd and £l4 2s fid, equal to about. 36 s per lOOlhs.
