SKID IX LOOSE METAL WOMAN BADLY INJUIITD (I ’er Pres s Association) Auckland, Sept. 5. A Serious motor accident occurred on the main road near Maramarua, on the liauraki Plains, this morning-, when a motor ear containing a party of iiv t . from Auckland, skidded in some 100s e metal and overturned. Tli e occupants of the car were: Mr and Mrs T. F. Buckley, of New North road, Auckland, their two sons, and Mrs M. Collie, aged 42. of Masterton. Th 0 car was driven by the elder son. Mrs Collie sustained a dislocation of the spine. The other members of th 0 party escaped fairly lightly. Mr Buckley was struck in the chest and face .by Hying glass from the windshield. Mrs Buckley sustained .shock and facial injuries from broken glass and the two boy s escaped with slight abrasions. The members of the party, who were on their way to Thames, left Auckland, at about S o’clock. The car had just turned tlie corner when it ran into some 100s t 1 metal, which caused a capsize. It overturned on the driver’s side, throwing out. all the occupants, except Mi 4 Buckley, who was pinned in tile car for a short period befor e being released. The upper part of the car was extensiviy damaged.
