OLD BOYS’ ATHLETIC CLUB

The. question of whether lady members should he admitted to the Tech-. nioal College Old Boys* Athletic Club was discussed at the annual meeting. Frm December 22 of last year ladies S’lid been admitted as honorary members. Some opposition was expressed at the meeting owing fo 1 th© fact that it was desired to guard against turning the club into a purely social club.
The chairman (Mr D. Arnott) stated that the main, reason for wanting i o admit ladles as members was that if was no[ considered that tU’oy would be strong. enough numerically to start on their own. It was finally decided jo admit lady members, and fo give them representation on (he committee.
