MUSICAL FEILDING

Congratulations are again dne t° Wesley Choir upon gaining vet another victory in open competition at Wellington. It has become a habit with this Foil ding Choir to gain the coveted premiership over its rivals, proving that the standard set by Mr Temple White, now- a judge of competitions himself, has been well maintained] by his successor with the baton, Mr Shelton, whom t'Hie Wellington judge . deservedly praised upon his gift of interpretation. Wherever Wesley Choir goes, it fares victoriously and its latest victory n,b the Wellington’s Competitions was one of its best,. The record of the Choir reminds us of the good fortune of Feilding folks in the musical forces’ of til o town. Besides Wesley Choir, it has two very excellent Brass Bands, which afford much enjoyment to the people, and its Pipe Band satisfies tl/e longing of Scotsmen to hear their national airs. Happy and progressive is the community that appreciates, encourages and develops a fine musical taste and in this, as in other privileges, Feilding is favoured and fortunate.
