Government circles are perturbed over an official scandal involving the dismissal of two officials of the Enemy Debts Clearing House, following on alleged leakage of information benefiting stock and share brokers. According to the Daily Mail, the leakage has been going on for seven, months, resulting in a loss to Britain running into six figures. The clearing house is an important branch of- the Board of Trade, which is investigating its operations with the assistance of Treasury solicitors.
