SANSON WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

THE MONTHLY MEETING At the September meeting of the Women’s Institute held on Tuesday last the attendance was considerably lower than usual owing, in many cases, to illness in members’ families. After the ordinary business was dealt with, Mrs Pearce, the president, introduced Miss Crawford, of Massey College, w:ho demonstrated the making of cream cheese. ATI were very much interested, and especially so -when samples of a . finished cheese were handed around for the members to taste. These were pronounced very good by all. Miss Crawford also gave an intrusting lecture on the introduction of Women’s Institutes ■in England. • -A hearty vote of thank? was. accorded Miss. Crawford. ■ > Supper was served bv the hostesses, Mrs Hill, Miss Oppatt ancl 'Misses Matthews.

After supper a most amusing did loguo was presented by Misses Nancy and Phyllis Eagan.

The singing of the National Anthem brought a, very pleasant evening to n close.
