His creditors threatened prosecution ■on the grounds of negligence and also! of his extravagant living, but consented to withhold proceedings provided a certain. dividend was paid. Dwyer then borrowed £750 from his father-in-law, promising to 'repay him in a fortnight with money from an uncle who. liyed in Wanganui. He paid this sum to the.
