A HOUSEWIFE’S DILEMMA

Alleging that lie was Detective. Murray, . Sub-Inspector Lander explained that when taken to the police station accused smelt of liquor, but. his manner suggested Unit his trouble was mental. A doctor was summoned, and he thought at first that the accused was not normal, hut after a further examination ../that. morning th e doctor expressed Die opinion that the accused was sane, hut. had been drinking to excess.
