LEADS TO PETTY COURT CASE)
“This a family squabblh,” said the Magistrate, Mr It. AT. Watson, S.M. in giving judgment in a, civil case heard yesterday at the, Foil cling S.M. Court. E. A. Orr (Air Ongley) sued his brother-in-law, John. Anderson (Air Barltrop) for £2 10s .money alleged to be due for mutton supplied. Roughly, the facts as elucidated iu the course of the case were that Orr had. arranged to supply An'dlgrson. with muttons and in return, was to get from Anderson; two hoggets, the, wool. to be. returned; Orr supplied .lout sides of. mutton, but did not receive the hoggets in return. Orr then 'sent, a hill for 7Glbs. Of .mutton at 8d per lb. Anderson admittedhaving 1 received 501bs. of niutton ami sent a cheque for .£1 3s 4xl at the rate of 5 pei* lb., which he claimed was all the mutton was. worth. There had been a good deal of argument per -medium, of the members of the family, and; finally the case had come to the- Court.
His Worship took plaintiff’.s word that he had supplied 7Glbs. of mutton:, but he decided that it was worth only Gd per lb., and pave judgment'
