SYDNEY’S BAD SPELL

SHIPPING HAS ROUGH TIME

The weather throughout June has been consistently cold, owing to westerlies traversing the' highlands and spilling over the snowdlud mountains into the coastal regions. The temperature in the, city this morning was 39.7 deg. Fahr., the lowest recorded since Juno, 1927. Frosts are reported at Parramatta and other suburban districts. Snow is lying on various places ou the highlands.

The State meteorologist' anticipates yet lover temperatures, though the winds locally have moderated. Tho weather in ill© Tasinanhas grown worse and strong southerlies and high sons are sweeping Bass Straits.
