BACK TO ANTARCTICA WINTER HALF OVER POTJMFS BOHN.; IN WORLD OF SNOW AND DARKNESS (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Ray of' 'Whales, June 24. Winter is half over and the sun has begun its long .journey hack to us. There is a, consequent lightening of spirit for everyone in camp. Soon in the north there a\ ill he light creeping over the sky and along the horiaoit, until our w,hito world is again made visible. There have' been, some Additions to our dog families.. The newly arrived puppies are playful and friendly, growing up in this Antarctic darkness. The only home they have known is where there is only ■mow on which to play and where the sun never shines, yet they are happy and rollicking ns if romping in green, pastures, or chasing rabbits in. a thicket. •
