Afatters arc now in train for the discus-don by ini extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the North Canterbury Shecpfarmors’ Cooperative Freezing Co., of tlio proposals for the amalgamation of that company with the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company. A requisition for such a, meeting, signed by the prescribed number of shareholders, was received by the company on Wednesday. In conformity' with statutory provisions', the meeting is to be held not later than 21 days after the receipt of the requisition,, and the date decided upon is Wednesday. June 12.
