In the Court bfore Mr Mowlem, S.M., when Lent Edlershaw of Ta ka pan charged, with selling icecream containing less than. 10 parts per cent of milk fat the Magistrate said a. break of the Pure Foods and Drugs Act- could not be overlooked. Defendant, who manufactured his. own, icecream, should have known oil t!\e deficiency. The public was entitled to protection, and the case was
serious enough in all. conscience. Ho was fined £5 and 2.3 s costs.
