The [Mayor stated last night he had interviewed the trustees for the Drill Hall, with the .suggestion that the: hall might be handed over to the Council. He sat'd the trustees represented a- body which no longer existed—the [Manchester Rifles, and hjr? thought iiihe trustees might hand it over to ther Council. He had not had muck success with the trustees, and asked for a, direction from the Council on the question. After the maftter had been discussed, the Mayor suggested that the Finance Committee meet the trustees. Thi, was eventually agreed to.
