FOR HIS OWN SAFETY. (Per Press Association), Gisborne, March 12. Abdulanhee Kei. 22, a native of Rangoon, appeared in tlie Police Court on a charge of .assaulting Lahe nulla Amismahamed on the s.s. Argyllbhirc and was remanded until to-morrow. Counsel, for accused agreed that a 1 remand is the -best course as it was considered to he dangerous for accused to he placed hack on the ship. There was a good deal of feeling between the different sections on the vessel, and accused might have done no wrong, others might set on him. It seemed hard, however, that he should he in custody when he had committed practically no offence.
