SOME OBSERVATIONS IN THE NORTH

The Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs Gordon Coates, and her sister, together with, the Prime Minister’s brother, Mr Rodney Coates, and Mrs Coates, wore distinguished visitors at the Warkworth Show last week-end, and took lunch there. Mr W. Jones (Reloi'inite), the sitting member, .was also present, and distributed the championship awards. And Mr Murdoch (Liberal), his predecessor who plans to succeed him as the local member in, tue next election, was also a prominent figure. These were all no doubt intensely interested m tlie pikelets and sponge cakes and crocheted petticoats and Romney sheep; and the populace of Warkwortli were delighted to meet .and shake hands with them.
