The L icensing Committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference met last evening to deal with applications for trainers’ and jockeys’ licenses.

The conditions regarding H. Gray s employment were altered so ns to allow him to go on race days to a racecourse where his omplover has horses running. -

An application from V . S. J3agb\, Auckland, for removal of his suspension was granted and lie will be able to resume riding to-morrow.

A. Rhodes, Auckland, was granted a. trainer’s license.

C. McKay, (Haiti, applied for permission to work in a- stable, but ib ,c was refused.

A. Hare. Eketahuna. who made similar application, had his request granted. J. Malone. Hawke’s Ray, was refused a trainer’s license, while the committee also decided not to grant a similar license to T. Pritchard, of Wellington.'

Applications from G. E. Tricklebank, Hawke’s Bay, and K. A. Lambess, Wanganui, for jockeys’ licenses were refused .

Jockey H. J. Tinker, Auckland, had his license cancelled. A. G. Campbell and M. Kirwan, Christchurch, were granted jockeys’ licenses.

ELLER SLID TRAINING NOTES Training work was brisk at Ellerslie yesterday morning, and a number of horses that are engaged at the Takapuna meeting were given fastwork. On tlio course proper Beau Cnvn Her ran seven furlongs in 1.35 4-5 sec. Winsome Boy and Acushla sprinted five furlongs in 1.4 2-5, the former being in front at t-Ee finish. King Emerald was going easily beside Gold Money at the finish of four furlongk in oosec. Speechless and Baby Bun were companions for seven furlongs, which they ran in 1.32 l_-5. Cynthia X and Storm Fiend got do the end of tax furlongs in ] .10' 4-5. They both went well, and there was little between them ad the finish.

On the tan Sir Rosebery ran the last six furlongSdof his work in 1.25

Judge’s Box: and Town Guard left six furlongs behind in 1.21 4-5. War Officer and Abbey Day covered five furlongs in 1.8 4-5, the farmer being just in front at the finish.
