DUFF I ED'S SENTENCE (Aust. and N.Z. Cable). Gibraltar, June 17. Lieut. Duff "eld was found guilty of shooting dead Colonel l'itzgera.ld, the jury rejecting a plea ol insanity but recommencing mercy. DnHiekl was .sentenced to be hanged. Lieut. Dufliehl was calm throughout and the most composed man in the Court . lie bowed and smiled while women sobbed. Executions n.re rare in Gibraltar, the latest being in 189 G.
